As someone who thrives off hard work and hustling toward my goals, I’ve started to shift my mindset.

Don’t get me wrong, I still believe that if you want to accomplish anything meaningful in life, you’ve got to show up consistently, work hard, and stay focused.

The truth is, success means something different to each of us, and that’s exactly how it should be.

  • Advancing in your career
  • Raising a healthy, happy family
  • Living an active life well into your 90s

Whatever it means to you, one thing we can probably all agree on is this:

We’re meant to enjoy life too.

We’re meant to feel fully human, and ironically, the moments that make us feel most alive often come free of charge.

It’s the little moments:

  • Going for a quiet morning walk or catching the sunset in the evening
  • Laughing with your partner for no reason at all
  • Hosting a barbecue with people you love
  • Sitting on a porch with music playing in the background

These are the human moments that bring us joy, peace, and perspective.

Too often, we forget about them in our pursuit of more.

This doesn’t mean you should abandon your goals or lose your ambition but our culture has glorified the nonstop grind, and that can lead to misalignment, burnout, and anxiety.

I know this firsthand…when you're always pushing, always trying to control every variable, even the smallest interruption can throw off your whole rhythm.

Instead of resisting, maybe it’s time we learned to flow with life a little more.

Here’s My Challenge to You:

What are a few areas of your life that give you a deep sense of meaning and make you feel most human?

Think about it and then, intentionally create space for them.

Not next week.

Not next year.

Now.

You might be surprised just how much joy and fulfillment they add when you make them a consistent part of your life.

Let’s keep chasing our goals and also remember to live while we do it.

Until next time,

-Tyler
